This privacy policy explains what personal information the Kolekt Waste Footprint Calculator (operated by Kolekt) collects, why we collect it and how we handle it.

What we collect when you register

• Your name and email address, used to create and identify your account.
• Your country, used to pre-fill your calculations with the right national averages.
• Optionally, your organisation's name and the number of full and part time staff.
• Your password, which is stored only in securely hashed form — we cannot read it.

What we collect when you calculate

• The inputs you enter into a calculator: the country, household size, trip details, or your organisation's estimates for staff, buildings and products.
• The resulting waste footprint (footprint, recycled, collected, certificates and gap per material), which is saved to your account so you can return to it.

How we use your information

We use your information solely to calculate and display your waste footprint, to save your results to your account and to pre-fill your next calculation. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not build marketing profiles.

Confidentiality

Any information that you register is completely confidential and will not be shared. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. Your data is only processed by the service providers that host this application, and only to run it.

Your rights

You can view and update your name, country and organisation details on your profile page at any time. The same page lets you delete your account: doing so immediately and permanently removes your account, your saved footprints and your certificate requests. To access, correct or delete any other information we hold about you, contact us and we will respond as soon as possible.
